Everything I need to know in life, I learned from animated movies.
GUESS THE QUOTE
"Eat your cereal with a fork.
And do your homework in the dark."
A note that a limited release from last week Fighting With My Family is expanding nationwide.
It's kind of an odd case, mostly because it's about the the WWE and it's not ridiculous, in fact it's apparently quite good (93% on RT). Even weirder, it's directed by Stephen Merchant (tall guy from the original The Office) and produced by The Rock (makes a cameo too).
So if you're into that wrestling life and/or want a feel good sports/family movie, give it a look.

HOW TO TRAIN
YOUR DRAGON:
THE HIDDEN WORLD
AKA
"appreciate you, but is there like a quick YouTube video or something, because my dragon sorta just burned down my parent's house..."
PG / 1 hr 50 mins
Adventure-Family-Animated /
DreamWorks Animation-Universal
WHAT'S THE DEAL
It's the rare animated franchise that seems like it will end before trying to snatch every dirty gutter penny it can from the hands of moviegoers *cough* Ice Age *cough* (then again, there are 12 books in the series on which the films are based...).
But maybe more impressive, is that the films have kept a high level of quality for both adults and their offspring - up to and including this final part to the trilogy (see below). Which, if you're a parent who's been subjected to a billion unboxing videos on YouTube, should come as (very) welcomed relief.
In terms of the plot, it takes place about a year after the last one and well, you can imagine all the goofy sidekicks and badass dragons are back, along with some new ones, cuz duh. But what you might not expect is some heavy emotional lessons about letting go (which might include letting go of tears from your eye sockets).
REVIEWS
So good that the studio let reviewers publish weeks before release .
""The Hidden World" strikes a bittersweet chord in reminding its young audience that all good things - including the age of dragons - must come to an end." - indieWire
Rotten Tomatoes Score: 96%
(72 reviews @ publish)
WHO'S IT (NOT) FOR?
For: adults who like to also get something from the movie they're occupying their kids' time with
(Not): for people who think dragon's actually exist/ed (cuz they don't need confirmation material, even in animated form...)
